Should I enter Education expenses from 1098-T even though all expenses were paid from a 529 college savings plan?

We received a 1098-T from our son's college and have entered it in the Education Expenses section. All of the expenses were paid from a 529 college savings plan. I don't understand if I should be entering this expense.   I entered it and then ran the Maximize My Education Tax Break  and it determined  we qualify for $2,500 American Opportunity Credit.

Yes, you can claim the American Opportunity Credit if you paid educational expenses from a 529 college savings plan. However, if you used a portion of the 529 funds to pay room and board then that portion may need to be counted as taxable income.
