Is your income too high? Does your box 5 scholarships and grants equal your expenses? If so, you would need to claim some of box 5 as taxable income to allow you to claim education credits.

If neither income nor scholarships, what do you have on your 1098-T?

Income is 60500.00. Payment received for tuition is 2718.00.  No scholarships or grants.

You must enter a 1098-T reporting the tuition.

Please be sure to go through the entire education interview.
