Program does not select the Life Time Learning Credit but the Tuition Deduction. I am Single (24), $5500 Income, my parents are not claiming me & lived with them.

I do not see the search box in the program to type the word, "LETME" to change the credit. The program states that I can claim this credit but the amount is $0.

The Lifelong Learning Credit is a credit which means the amount is applied to your tax liability.  Because you only made $5500, you have no tax liability so you cannot use any of the credit.
