Should I claim tuition I paid with student loans?

I'm a full-time grad student, and I paid my tuition with federal student aid (FAFSA), I got a 1098T form, but for MA state taxes, do I claim that I paid College tuition payments or not?

Edit: I forgot to add that it is a Federal Direct Loan Unsubsidized, and I have to repay it after I finish school.

No, you don't claim your graduate tuition, paid with student loans.  The Massachusetts deduction applies only to undergraduate education loans and not to graduate education loans.

  • Tuition payments for students pursuing graduate degrees at such colleges or universities aren’t eligible for the college tuition deduction.

I forgot to mention that it is a Federal Direct Loan, Unsubsidized, from FAFSA, and I have to repay it after school, does that make any difference?

No, it doesn't matter because it for graduate tuition.
