My W-2 lists my school district taxes withhelde in the box underneath box 19. How do I enter this so the system does not think I owe? I live in Ohio.

18  Local wages, tips, etc.                   19 Local income tax           20 Locality name

total wage                                               local tax withheld              locality

applicable wage to school tax            school tax witheheld        school district number

how do input this? this screwed me last year and I lost money, this year i stand to lose more if i don't figure it out. I already paid, I dont want to pay again. any ideas? thank you.

At the W-2 screen, enter the amounts in boxes 18 and 19 (not underneath the boxes)  and the school district (SD) name or number in box 20.  Enter the SD name/number in this format: SD#### (using your school district number).

There is a Local Taxes section at the bottom of the W-2 input screen, just below the State taxes section.  To edit your w-2:

1. Click Federal
2. Hoover your cursor over Wages & Income
3. Select Wages and Salaries (W-2) 
4. Under Your Income, click Edit/Add and then select your your W-2 to edit.
