My son's university does not provide a 1098-T , how do I include any tuition and book expenses on my tax returns? The university only gives us statements

My son's university does not provide a 1098-T , how do I include any tuition and book expenses on my tax returns? The university only gives us statements
If the school is not required to send a Form 1098-T or you meet any of the other criteria, you qualify for an exception to the requirement.
- When you are asked if you received a Form 1098-T, answer no.
- The next page is "OK, let's see if you qualify for an exception" (See the screenshot below)
If you qualify, you can go on and enter all the education information.
