When entering the 1098-T, click the blue link under Box 2 'what if this is not the amount i paid to the school?'.

A box will open where you can enter the amount actually paid in 2017.

If this is an amount that was reported on a 2016 1098-T that you claimed an education credit for in 2016 and the scholarship amount on your 20171098-T actually belongs to 2016, you can indicate that also when entering the 1098-T.
