Yes, you can include his 1098-T on your return to claim an education credit if his scholarship/grant amount in box 5 is less than tuition and expenses in box 1 or 2.
If his scholarships and grants were more than his qualified tuition expenses then the excess is taxable income and he needs to include it on his return.
