My school doesn’t give 1098 -Ts and it won’t give me their EIN number to file so how do I deduct my education expenses to qualify for the tax credit s . I went to a private school and university for 2 years AA degree?

I went to a private accredited college 4 years and finished up 2:5 years. I qualify with a scholarship and education expenses but I don’t know how to fill out forms as I get stuck on the student information form and its asking for schools EIN number? they won’t give that to me. Nor they don’t do 1098 Ts but they can give me financial receipt s of what I paid for school what do I do and how do I claim the Education credits?

You MUST have the school's employer identification no. to claim the more generous American Opportunity Credit (AOC). 

 

The fact that you don't get a 1098-T  and the refuse to give you their EIN may indicate that your school is not an "eligible institution" for the education credits.
