My daughter went to college i have the 1098t box 1 has nothing in it but i paid 4864.40 in tuition and fees do i put that in box 1

What is the amount in box 2?  If it does not reflect the actual amount you paid out of the pocket, you can adjust the information in box 2.  

To do so in TurboTax Self-Employed online version, here are the steps: 

1.  Enter Form 1098-T as it now appears on the replica screen in the program,

2.  Click on the blue link below box 2 that says "what if this is not what I paid to this school?" 

3.  Enter the full amount of tuition you actually paid ( $4864.4)
