If you claim your daughter as a dependent, you claim education credits for her on your tax return.

In TurboTax, you need to go through the Education questionnaire and enter information from her form 1098-T.

Please follow these steps:

- In TurboTax, open your return and click on Federal Taxes then Deductions and Credits

- On the next page, click I'll choose what I work on

- On the next page, under Education, click Start next to Expenses and Scholarships (form 1098-T) (see screenshot attached)

- TurboTax will then take you through a questionnaire and you can enter form 1098-T.

Turbo will then calculate the best education tax break for you,
