Yes. If your tuition is listed in box 2 of your 1098-T then you will be able to claim the amount by entering the 1098-T as it was issued to you.
If your 1098-T does not have an amount in box 1 or box 2 but you paid tuition to the school or if you paid more in tuition than is reflected on the 1098-T you can enter the amount not reported on your 1098-T by following these instructions.
1. If you are not already in the Education section please select Deductions & Credits from the Federal tab.
2. Select Update next to the Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T) section.
3. Select Edit next to the student's name.
4. On your Education Summary page you should see the school information for the 1098-T you have already entered. Below that school name is a link that says "Add New School".
5. You can use the same school name that you did when you entered the 1098-T.
6. You will then be asked if you received a 1098-T. Say "No" since you have already reported the 1098-T and you are not trying to report amounts not reported on the 1098-T.
7. Continue through this section to enter your additional tuition. You can use the same address that is listed on your 1098-T for the school address.
