Lifetime Learning credit

While completing my deductions and credits section for my education tax breaks it clearly has an "X" in front of the lifetime learning credit and it shows "$0" meaning I did not get the lifetime learning credit, but when I was ready to file it is telling me I need to upgrade to TurboTax deluxe because I received lifetime learning credit which is false. What am I supposed to do?

Lifetime Learning credit

If the amount of your Lifetime Learning Credit is $0, it is because you had no tax liability.  The LLC is a nonrefundable credit meaning if you had no tax liability, you would not benefit from the credit.

In order to avoid upgrading you can go back and delete your 1098-T and education expenses.  You can then go to Tax Tools>>Tools>>Delete a form and then you can delete the education worksheets and form 8863.

This should allow you to file without upgrading.
