You can verify if your refund will be offset or not by calling the Department of Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) at 800-304-3107 (or TTY/TDD 866-297-0517), Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.

under the CARES Act, the IRS won't garnish your refund this year to pay down delinquent student loans; I wouldn't worry about it.
