Under "Enter eligble student info" under total tuition expenses do I enter the amount in box 1 on the 1098T?

Under "Enter eligble student info" under total tuition expenses do I enter the amount in box 1 on the 1098T?

It should be. Compare your 1098-T to your school account statement. Box 1 should report the tuition that was paid to the school during the tax year. 

If you are not a dependent, you should enter the 1098-T first and this information will flow to the "Here's Your Education Summary" screen. 

If you are a dependent, the person claiming you would enter the 1098-T into their TurboTax program and their TurboTax program will determine if the student needs to report any additional income.
