I bought an iPad for school. I attend an art university where we take major-required digital art courses, with the expectation that we (the students) have access to & use some type of computer or tablet in order to use the required art programs to make art for our assignments. I don’t have a computer, so I bought an iPad to do my assignments.
It’s not explicitly stated on our syllabus to go out and buy a computer or tablet, but it is expected to have some type of computer/tablet in order to do our assignments and our professors assume that we already have some type of computer or tablet.
