Can i claim my sister

If you lived together in the same household for more than half the year she is your qualifying child dependent.  But, you can only claim her if you earned more money than your mother, and if your mother agrees to allow you to claim her.  (Even for qualifying relative dependent, the must live together for the whole year rule doesn't apply to parents or siblings.)

Let me know if you have any other questions!
