If I am a F1-visa student trying to file taxes to get the education credit. Will I automatically receive an extension, if I recently applied for an ITIN ?

I have not yet been given the TIN, but when I apply for the extension it keeps getting rejected due to wrong ssn (number given to me by turbotax) and primary name. What do I do next ?

If you are an F1 student visa holder who has been in the US less than 5 years or part years, you cannot file a return with TurboTax.  TurboTax is only for full year resident returns.  You are a nonresident.

TurboTax does not support nonresident returns.
