I paid $27,280 in tuition for my daughter in 2019. Can I claim any or all of this money as a deductible expense?

If you are entitled to claim your daughter as a dependent, you enter into your tax return the Form 1098-T that reports the tuition paid.  Depending on the specifics about your daughter's education expenses, TurboTax will calculate education credits or deductions to which you are entitled.

Click the "magnifying glass Search" icon on the top row, enter "1098t" in the search window and press return or enter, and then click on the "Jump to 1098t" link to begin entry of the 1098-T.

If you are not entitled to claim your daughter as a dependent, your daughter will enter the Form 1098-T into her tax return.

Table 5 from IRS Publication 501 is a good overview of what it takes to claim a dependent.

How do you enter 2(b)1250 Unrecaptured from a 1099-DIV into Turbotax Form 1065 software?
