You should normally receive a 1098 and 1099 statements by mid-February if not we recommend contact you school, and yes that would qualify as tax information. When paying student loans you should normally get a 1098-E for Student Loan Interest Paid.
If using TurboTax Online you are in Federal Taxes > Deductions & Credits > Education and you can enter your information in the three sub-tabs there. In TurboTax CD/Download you're in Personal tab > Deductions & Credits > Education where you can click on Visit All or go into the three sub-tabs.
If you don't see the Education sub-category you could be on the guided form, you can open by clicking where is says "Skip to see all tax breaks"
