To add information from two separate 1098 forms, click on
the blue Add a Lender link on the Home Loan Deduction Summary screen
after you have finished entering the information from the first form. Use this process even if the loans are from the same lender because you have two forms to report.
Use these steps to go to the mortgage interest section of
your return:
On the top row of the
TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax
locate the search box in the upper right corner)
This opens a box where you
can type in “mortgage interest” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here)
and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
The search results will
give you an option to “Jump to mortgage interest”
Click on the blue “Jump
to mortgage interest” link
