I have seller-financed loan and that I did not receive a 1098 . Do I have to have the lender's social security address?

I only know the sellers name and address. not their social security or federal ID number. It is processed through a servicing company that sent out a form "in lieu" of the 1098 that only has an account number on it. I called the serving company and they could not help me

Generally, if the loan payments are handled through a loan servicing company and they send you a 1098 or substitute form, their Tax ID is the number you report on your return.
