I graduated college in May. Am I a student for at least 5 months of the year?

The requirement is that you be a full time student for at least 1 day of 5 different months during the year.

If during those 5 months you were a for one day out of 5 months then yes. A full-time student is a student who is enrolled for the number of hours or courses the school considers to be full-time attendance. As long as you were in school the full semester Jan-May you would qualify. You would not have to have been in class the full month of May as long as you were a full time student one day of each of those months.
