What exactly do you mean by "itemized"?
On a federal tax return itemized deductions are entered on Schedule A. Military pension cannot be an itemized deduction on Schedule A. The military pension is taxable on a federal tax return and entered on the Form 1040 on Lines 5a and 5b. Or are you referring to a state tax return?

Whats wrong with it? Did it show up on the wrong line? Pensions should be on 1040 line 5a and the taxable amount on 5b. Did it show up on line 4 instead? Turbo Tax only guarantees the calculations are right based on your entries and answers to the questions. Turbo Tax is a self prepared return. It has no way of knowing or checking that you entered something wrong or in the wrong place or entered something twice Or left something out.

I am not sure I had them reviewed by an accountant because there were drastic differences between 2022 and 2023 they indicated the military pay was not correct on the forms filed.

Again...What was the issue? Was it on the federal tax return or the state tax return?
Better ask the accountant what exactly is wrong. Do you have copies of 2022 and 2023? Compare them line by line. Is line 5b different on them? And check your 1099R forms for both years. Does the amount in 1099R box 1 equal line 5a?
