I became the primary owner of a 529 college account this tax year. Do I need to file anything?

I neither took money out of the account nor added any in to it – the account was simply transferred to my name. Do I need to file anything?

No you do not. Only when contributing (certain states only) and when you withdraw (regardless of your state).
