I am filling out my School deductions, I didn't get a Form 1098-T this year. Turbo Tax is asking if I got one in 2015. I answered yes. It then asks me if there was an amount in Box 2 from the 2015 form. What if I don't know that answer?

Check your student school account statement from 2015 and 2016.

Look to see if classes that started in January of 2016 were billed in 2015.

If they were, Box 2 would have had an entry.

You should also be able to get a copy of 2015 1098-T from your school online account, or from the school directly.

You really should keep copies of all tax forms and your tax returns in a saved file.
