I am a college student who was counted as a dependent by my parents. I am 21 years old. How do I ensure this is put into the TurboTax program properly for my tax return?

You just need to make sure you check the appropriate box under personal info. Here are the directions for revisiting that area and making sure the box is checked:

To revisit the question 'Can anyone else claim you on their tax return?' follow these steps:

1. Login to your return and click on Personal Info.
2. Click on the blue edit button to the right of your name. 
3. You will be take to Your Info page. If all of the information is still the same click Continue at the bottom of page. (If changes are needed make corrections before clicking continue).
4. The next page will ask 'Do any of these apply?'  Place a check mark next to the question 'Can anyone else claim you on their return?' then click Continue.
