How to deduct student loan interest that is less than $600

When under the student loan interest question for form 1098-E in the deductions and credits section for Federal Taxes, it does not give you an option to state how much interest you paid if you did not receive a 1098-E. I have a form from my lender with the amount paid, just not sure how to put this into turbotax.

Even though your interest was not reported on an official Form 1098-E, you will still enter it in the same section of your return as if you had the form.

You will just enter the name of your lender and the amount of interest paid.  Enter the interest into Box 1.  Then click Done

See the information below to go directly to that section of your return.
