Gotmarried 2016,wife graduated from college in 2016. Turbotax toldparents they couldnt count her as dependent.Filing joint,show lifetime cred 4 educ ok?

Yes. It doesn't matter who paid for the education, you (the couple) can claim the credit

Yes. It doesn't matter who paid for the education, you (the couple) can claim the credit
