Are you a full time student? Have you been claiming student status for the past few years? You only get to claim a certain number of years. so if you have previously claimed it, and claimed the credit, then you cannot claim it now. there is a help button near that to Learn More .. click on it. If you have never filed as a student before then you qualify for either one or both. It is good to know about.
