Does county entered have to match the address on my state return? Independent college student, live

Just need to know whether or not entering county where I live and work is problematic since I used my parent's address (where I get mail) asmy address in personal info.

No, the address that you use is the address where you want the IRS to have on file (in case they need to contact you by mail, etc).  It does not have to be your exact address; it can be your parents'.  The county should preferably match your parent's address.

You don't enter your county on the federal return.  You're probably asking about a state return.
