Yes, you shouldn't delete the state download, just the information you've updated in the TurboTax software. To begin your state again with the desktop software, see the directions at the following FAQ: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3450510

Did you start your state return BEFORE finishing your federal return?  The state is not a stand-alone software. If you started your state return before your federal, you'll need to delete it and start over. Federal information can only transfer once.

How do I delete a state return?  And if I delete it, will I still get my free state return that came with my Turbo Tax edition?
