Did you by chance check that you didn't get a 1098-T but enter information on the 1098-T screen as if you did receive one? Maybe when you first started preparing your return?
If there's a 1098-t in your return (for whatever reason), you can delete it.
- Go
to My Account at
the top of your screen. From the drop-down, choose Tools (see screenshot).
- In
the Tools Center, choose Delete A Form (see screenshot).
- In Review Form List, find the Form 1098-T and
choose Delete .
- On the
screen Delete Selected Form, select Delete. After the screen Form Successfully Deleted, go back to the forms list, and
verify that the form has been deleted. Check your tax return to verify
that the result is correct.
