Can i file an education deduction while i am currently not enrolled in school? I was paying for a previous year, when i was a full-time college student.

I did not receive a 1098-t for the current year but i did in 2016

Unfortunately, you cannot claim the education credit for 2018. You can only claim the credits if you were enrolled in school during 2018 and paying qualified education expenses for higher education

You may be able to deduct any student loan interest that you are currently paying.
