Can I deduct tuition for private high school and for edvest account contributions?

Unfortunately, education expenses for K-12 are never deductible, be it public, private or home schooling.

However, is this Edvest account a 529 or Coverdell? Give me a website where I can read up on it. I've heard of some types of 529's that you "can" use/deduct, "if" specific and explicit criteria are met.
