Can I claim college tuition for my 18 year old?
Yes, provided they meet the requirements to be a dependent, then you can claim the the college tuition paid to an eligible institution.
You should normally receive a Form 1098-T from the college showing the amounts paid. You will want to enter that Form into TurboTax. By answering the questions in the interview, TurboTax will help you determine which credit/deduction is most advantageous for you.
