My taxes normally come in at a loss. 2017 shows a net of $500 after overhead. is it even necessary for me to report this as income? no 1099's. just schedule c.
simple business. i clean houses. i claim expenses but once overhead is entered on schedule c my net income is almost nothing or negative.

Yes you do. If you have self-employment income over $400.00 you are required to file a return.You will then go through
the process to determine your AGI and what, if any, your tax liability is.
