Wife & I formed a LLC last year & filed for a EIN w/ the IRS. We would like to remove me from the LLC. Will we need to also file paperwork w/ the IRS relating to the EIN?

My wife and I formed an LLC last year and subsequently filed for a EIN with the IRS. Now, we would like to remove me from the LLC. I know we will need to file paperwork with the state of Louisiana to do so, but will we need to also file paperwork with the IRS relating to the EIN?

I would report to the IRS a change in the “responsible party” within 60 days of the change.  

This change is reported using Form 8822-B, Change of Address or Responsible Party – Business (I've provided the link below).  This is a good thing as it helps to provide assurance that critical communications from the IRS will not be directed to a person who is no longer associated with an entity.
