Why, when I'm entering my driver's license info, am I getting an error that says that the document number's first 3 characters must be entered. I entered the entire thing

Try entering zeroes.  Some states need you to enter additional information.  What state is your ID from?

New York. The document number is 10 characters. I entered all 10. I ended up saying I didn’t have an ID, because I couldn’t figure it out. NY accepted my return without it, so I’m actually all set. Just weird.
