Why wasn't box E checked on line 28 (Part II) of my Schedule E and thus a basis schedule needed when my K1 from and S Corp show a distribution on Line 16, code D?

You can manually check that box if you are using a desktop (installed) version of TurboTax. Otherwise, you cannot do so, but must print and mail your return, in any event, in order to submit the statement with your return.

Regardless, I will report this anomaly.
