Do you mean 75%? Because you can enter 75%. 1% or .01 is the lowest business percentage you can enter in TurboTax.
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, no, not 75%, I specifically mean example value 0.75%. In general, any value between 0.00% and 1.00% is disallowed by the worksheet, for reasons I have not determined.
For a more concrete example, assume a 120 sq.ft. home office in a 3000 sq.ft. home resulting in 4% business use. Now assume there are two Schedule C's run out of the home office that need to apportion that 4% across the two businesses. Anything on the outside of a 75%-25% split between Schedule C's would result in a business use percentage less than 1% for the home and any related renovations one of the 8829 worksheets.
If this is your scenario for the home office, you may want to consider entering the full deduction for the Schedule C with the greatest income. This would avoid using an insignificant percentage that is being ignored by the program.
