Why did my small profit from Sch C (less than $150 from 1099-MICS work) not trigger Sch SE like it did last year?
The work is similar to my primary W-2 job, so I checked yes. I can also see the SE worksheet has the profit loaded on the right line. Line 31 of Sch C says the profit should be entered on Line 2 of Sch SE, but that form was not produced by the software. It says something about Line 1 needs to being "checked". What Line 1 is that?

If your earnings from self employment are less than $432, you do not need to pay self-employment tax.
