why cant I file 1041 using home and business?

The TurboTax Home & Business personal edition does not support Form 1041, U.S. Income Tax Return for Estates and Trusts

Only the TurboTax Business Edition supports the Form 1041.  The Business Edition can only be installed on a Windows based personal computer, not online (For Form 1041) or on a Mac.  The Business Edition cannot be used for a personal tax return, Form 1040.

home and business are only for 1040. you need Turbotax Business for 1041.
