My child works for a company that sent her a 1099-MISC instead of a W-2. Turbo Tax is showing her as the proprieter of the business she works for. How do I fix this?

Go back and look at the business information that got set up related the 1099 MISC "self-employed" business (Schedule C). Her name should be marked as being used as the business name. Also double check that in the "description of the work industry" that a general description was put there and not the name of the company she was working for. See steps below:
Type in Schedule C in the search field and then Jump To Schedule C, and you should be brought to a 2018 self-employed work summary screen. Then select to edit the "business" that was entered. Then you will be brought to a summary screen for that business where you can select to EDIT the general information for the "self-employed business." See sample screenshots below. You should be able to change the name and/or description of the business where it is not showing the name of the business who contracted your daughter for the work.
