For an Estate/Trust tax return, Form 1041, you would need the TurboTax Business Edition.  The Business Edition can only be installed on a Windows based personal computer, not on a Mac or online.  The Business Edition cannot complete a personal tax return, Form 1040.  Go to this TurboTax website for the Business Edition - https://turbotax.intuit.com/small-business-taxes/

TurboTax is very misleading. When you go into Premier it tells you to download home and business for the 1041.  Then you pay the money and you find out home and business doesn't do 1041. 1041 can only be found on Business edition.  TurboTax you lost mu business.

The bottom of the page that describes the various TT desktop products says this:

For partnerships, S Corp, C Corp, multi-member LLC, trusts and estates, TurboTax Business has you covered...

Users may thus be confusing TT Business with TT Home and Business. They are different products.
