Where do I enter Sch SE and jump to it to view it

I want to see what, if anything, is in schedule SE. I understand I need to enter Sch SE and then jump to it. How do I do that?

If you have a business, you enter this in as business income and expenses in Turbo Tax Self-Employed. From the data you enter into the program, Schedule SE will be generated automatically as it reports your Self-Employment tax that must be paid in operating your business.

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Click on the orange Take me to my return button. Go to Income and Expenses.
  3. Then go to self-employment income>self employment and expenses>start
  4. Answer the questions on the screen regarding your business profile. In this case, you are a self-published author when it asks for the description of your business.
  5. After your business profile is set.
  6. Enter your income, scroll down to Business Income. Click Start/Update. Click Start/Update next to General Income.
  7. To enter your business expenses, scroll down to  Business Expenses, Other Common Business Expenses. Click Start/Edit.
  8. After income and expenses are entered, the program will determine if you have a business profit or loss. if you have a profit, a Schedule SE will be automatically generated showing how much self-employment tax is being calculated on your profit for the year.

You don't enter Schedule SE.  It is automatically filled out if you have a Net Profit on Schedule C for self employment income.  You may need to upgrade to the Self Employed version.

Self Employment tax (Scheduled SE) is automatically generated if a person has $400 or more of net profit from self-employment. You pay 15.3% SE tax on 92.35% of your Net Profit (If it is greater than $400). The 15.3% self employed SE Tax is to pay both the employer part and employee part of Social Security and Medicare (FICA). So you get social security credit for it when you retire.

The SE tax is already included in your tax due or reduced your refund. It is on the 1040 Schedule 2 line 4 which goes to 1040 line 23. The SE tax is in addition to your regular income tax on the net profit.

Before filing you can preview the 1040 or print the whole return
