When can I begin inputting next years tax information?

I just recieved a 1099-R for this year's taxes.

The program for 2017 tax year will not be available until late 2017.

The Desktop CD/Download program usually comes out in Mid to late November.
Last year the Online version opened on Dec 1.
Just start a 2017 file folder and put all your papers in it.

and keep watching news, as Congress is considering tax law changes.  If you expect to owe taxes on that 1099-R distribution, you may want to make an estimated tax payment now.
