Sorry you will need 2 programs. The Business program and a personal version. For your personal return you can use either the Online Premium or buy any of the Desktop CD/Download programs for Windows or Mac. All the personal Desktop programs have the same forms, you get more help in the higher versions.
Do you need to do a personal 2023 return? You need to buy the Desktop program here

You will need to do the S corp return first and then enter the K-1 you get into your personal return. You can buy any Desktop program. All the Desktop programs have the same forms.

Yes, you need to purchase one of the personal editions to prepare your individual income tax return (1040).
As mentioned, you will prepare your 1120-S first and then enter the K-1 (1120-S) into your individual income tax return via a personal edition of the program.
TurboTax Business if you need to prepare an 1120-S for an S corporation (which includes an LLC with an S corporation election).

Note that the 2024 edition has not yet been released.
Thank you very much! That is what I have, but I couldn't figure out where to add my wife's W2 (separate from the business) cause it should all flow on the same return, I thought. I'll probably have to call Intuit tomorrow. Thanks again for the quick response.
You need Turbotax Business - windows or online for the S-corp
for the 1040 you do not enter her w-2 in the S-corp. you need one of the 1040 versions of Turbotax.
there are desktop versions that handle all the forms that Turbotax does
then there are the online versions. some you do yourself but you'll need one of the higher versions to enter a k-1
there is also online live where a pro does your 1040 and or 1120S returns

Thank you, VolvoGirl. I purchased the TurboTax Business desktop version. If I understand you correctly, I also need to purchase one of the personal versions?
Then I do the business side first, flow that over to the K1 and then do my personal returns, right? Yes, this is for 2023 and I'm just freaking out cause I thought I was good at taxes, but since I started this LLC, filing as a S-corp, I'm realizing I don't know anything. 🙂

In my opinion, corporate returns are not a Do-It-Yourself kind of thing. There is too much to know and too much to mess up. If that corporate return is late, you are already looking a penalty. In my opinion, you should really consider going to a good tax professional. Doing this yourself will often lead to higher taxes, penalties and increased likelihood of an audit.
