Turbotax Deluxe Desktop edition

I purchased TurboTax Deluxe Desktop edition. I imported my W2 via PDF. It incorrectly picked up my state of SC in lieu of my company's state of TX. The error wasn't caught until Efile failed. Even the federal return error run didn't take notice. Thank goodness the final check grabbed the fact that the Zip code didn't match the state. It opened the form and asked me to make the correction for the state of my employer.

My home state was inserted from the import onto my employer's address:
Little River SC 29566

When you import a W-2---or any other tax document--- always check it against the hard copy of the document for accuracy.  Glad you caught the mistake and were able to correct it.

Agree, double checking is always good. I generally check the numbers thinking TurboTax should certainly be smart enough to pull in standard fields. The fact that it didn’t gave me pause why such a simple task threw errors. 
I guess the response I expected was that our TurboTax developers have found and corrected the code error. Apologies for pushing back. I develop code for a living and understand the importance of error correcting especially when code reuse is always a smart idea. Letting it go just allows error propagation to pass on to future versions. Anyhow, I’ll be scrutinizing imports more deeply going forward.
