You may need to enter a name for the errant K-1 under Federal >> Wages & Income >> "Business Partner Income Statement" (aka Schedule K-1).
If these steps don't work the first time, log out of TurboTax after Step 2. Clear your cache and cookies, then log back in. Find the K-1 and delete it. Log out and back in to be sure the deletion worked.

Thank you. First, it seems solved.
Your answer (cookies etc) implies you think I was using TT online, but I'm using TT desktop on a Mac.
I finally got it to work by quitting and restarting the app. When it restarted, the phantom CA K-1 partner worksheet was gone, and I've repeated that a couple of times and it seems gone forever. So whatever it was, the fix was somewhat similar to what you suggested.
I tried to add a post with that info yesterday, but I couldn't figure out how to navigate back to this thread on the website. I never got an ack email from my initial post, and search didn't find it.
Thanks and regards.
